Frequently asked questions

What ingredients do you use?

We use 100% natural ingredients in all of our products. Plants, herbs, and spices that can be grown and sustainably sourced are the only products that are considered, as well as other raw, natural materials. Some of the natural materials includes oils and butters like: olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, and sweet almond oil.

What makes your body bars/soap different from those in the department/grocery/drug stores?

We use two processes for our body bars/soaps – cold process and hot process. Processing our body bars/soaps this way allows for the natural moisture, also known as glycerin, to be retained within each bar. That means each and every bar will aid in nourishing and moisturizing your skin, naturally. No Chemicals!

Commercial based soaps generally strip the glycerin. You're essentially buying detergents for your skin, which dries it out. You in turn purchase creams, lotions and moisturizers to add back what the soap took away.

Do you test your products on animals?

Our products are never tested on animals. We create cruelty-free products that are tested by friends and family.

How much does an average bar weigh?

Our bars are weighed in ounces. The weight of the bar depends on the mold(s) that we use. An average body bar/soap weighs about 4 and 6 ounces. Decorative molds create bars that weigh about 2 and 4 ounces. Sample bars weigh about 1 to 2 ounces.

Is there a certain way to care for handmade body bars/soap?

Handmade body bars/soaps needs special attention due to the high glycerin content in which they contain. The glycerin attracts moisture (water). So leaving them in puddles of water is not a good idea. That will cause your body bar/soap to break down a lot faster.

For a longer lasting bar, keep it as cool and dry as possible. To help the process store your soaps on a dish that allows proper water drainage. Allow your body bar/soap to dry between each use.

Each bar should last about 2 to 3 weeks based on usage with the proper care. This is also based on how many times you shower per day/week and letting your body bar/soap dry completely after each use and not letting it sit in a puddle of water.
